Fun With Elvis - Let the Football Season Begin!!

I love Fall!! The air cools and our lives once again revolve around Football!!! High School, College and NFL Thurs to Monday you can usually find us attending or watching a game. I love it! It is one of the only few things that my husband and I do together, other than yell at the kids, make the neighbors mad and attend church to hopefully be forgiven for yelling at the kids and making the neighbors mad.

The girls got to do Mini Cheer with Auntie's school "Viewmont High School" a couple of weeks ago and that was really fun. Naturally I forgot the camera in the shuffle and so did everyone else we were with, not that we could have taken a pic of them as there were about 100 other parents standing in front of us during the performance. The girls really enjoyed it and Steph even got a spotlight as she ran the wrong way after her part and then crawled across the better part of the field with her friend Maddie to get to the right side in front of the other people performing. It was classic.

The next day we attended our first Ute game of the season. We've held season tickets with my Brother Ray for about 5 years now and have regularly attended the games for about 10. I LOVE UTAH FOOTBALL.....GO UTES!!! Last year we got 3 more tickets to take the kids with us all the time and that was much better this year. Now they are a bit bigger they seem to enjoy it more and fidget and whine less during the game, so it makes it more enjoyable for us all. Uncle Ray started a tradition a few years ago of dressing up as Elvis when UNLV is in town. This year he got quite a bit of attention as our seats are right behind the goal line where all of the Camera men are. I think a bit to much mega tron time for Mommy....I get a bit crazy at the games and forget that 60,000 people are watching especially a big portion of my neighbor's and ward members. I don't need them thinking I'm any more strange and scary then they already do...but it is for my UTES so I guess it is worth it.

And then there is the NFL...dun dun dun dunnnnnnnn (dunit dunit) dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. I've played Fantasy Football for the last couple of years with a friend from work, but last year with the move I didn't really get to pay enough attention to it and my team ended up sucking horrible, so I decided to just watch for fun again this year. I've actually gotten to see 2 Steelers games which is rare, since this is 49er and Bronco (ewww) country. Daddy is a die hard Cowboys fan so this year should be fun as they get to play one another. With the way our offensive line looked against Philly last week, (they allowed 9 sacks I think....once that number gets past 2 or 3 I think I've just blocked it out....) it may prove to be a long season :(
